How do you restore endangered species of Sea Turtles by protecting their babies?
Humans, coyotes, crabs, birds, even magnetic fields – these are things that prevent thousands of baby sea turtles from ever seeing the ocean. The Bald Head Island Conservancy and conservancies all over the world needed help finding a better way to protect sea turtle nests. The needs of conservancies like the Bald Head Conservancy are stringent. The solution must be robust, environmentally friendly, easy to install/remove, and – most importantly – not interfere with the developing natural magnetic compasses of turtle embryos.
